Blaenau Gwent
For such a small county, Blaenau Gwent is an area of startling contrasts – from rugged countryside to industrial heritage; from the simplicity of a medieval church to the colourful frenzy of a tropical plant house. Home to a small few caravan parks, the county has plenty of opportunity for fun for mobile home or log cabin owners that love swimming, boating, fishing and other water sports, with its two lakes, and the river Tyleri meandering down the centre of the county. Cwmtillery was once a busy mining industry which engulfed most of the valley. Time has changed this and the area is now a quiet valley full of delightful scenery, walks and flourishing wildlife, a peaceful haven for static caravan tourists.
