Cambridgeshire
Cambridgeshire is a large and attractive agricultural county in North East England, with about 30 caravan parks and plenty of room to base a log cabin. The county has a history of political rebels, being home to the last Anglo Saxon freedom fighter, Hereward the Wake who defied the Normans from his stronghold on the Isle of Ely, and home of England’s unique and famous leader, Oliver Cromwell. The county is home to some beautiful wetlands with rare species at Wicken Fen in the area known as the Fenlands, perfect for scenic walks on mobile home holidays.Cambridge City, home to the famous university, is a wonderful fusion of the everyday and the extraordinary, a living city that has shaped history. Cambridge University is the place that inspired Darwin, Newton, A.A. Milne, Wordsworth, John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Eric Idle and Stephen Hawking. Today it continues to inspire thousands of Cambridge students, and leads the way in new and emerging technology. The campus is wonderful to walk around, where mobile home holidaymakers can see impressive historic buildings with prestigious history. Cambridge University Botanic Garden is a must for mobile home holidaymakers fond of plants – a forty-acre oasis of beautiful gardens and glasshouses, with some 80,000 plant species.
