Situated on the verges belonging to the River Taff lies the biggest city in Wales, the capital Cardiff. Cardiff has around six caravan parks from which mobile home holidaymakers can explore the wonders of Cardiff city, or head further afield to discover the rest of Wales.Built on medieval grounds in Cardiff’s city centre is the historic Cardiff Castle. The Romans and the Normans made use of the castle for defence during battles. Cathays Park is a civic area in central Cardiff and a fascinating day out for static caravan tourists, consisting of a number of early twentieth century buildings and a central park area with beautiful gardens and lawns and the Welsh National War Memorial. The park includes Edwardian buildings such as the Temple of Peace, City Hall, the National Museum and Gallery of Wales.
