County Antrim

County Antrim forms the north-east corner of Ireland, where a channel only 13 miles wide separates Torr Head from the Scottish coast. Mobile home holidaymakers have a choice of over 20 caravan parks to stay in, and can enjoy swimming and fishing in Lough Neagh (the largest lake in Ireland), and walking in the fertile Valley of the Bann. To the east of the county, a magnificent coast runs north from Larne and curves around the base of steep headlands, through which the beautiful glens of Antrim open to the sea – perhaps this could be a good area to site your log cabin? On the northern coast, close to the popular seaside resorts of Portrush and Portstewart, is the Giant's Causeway, a striking basalt rock formation, which is a truly awe-inspiring sight for static caravan tourists. County Antrim is home to the city of Belfast, which despite its turbulent past has become a fascinating and vibrant place for mobile home holidaymakers to visit. With trendy cafes, bars and restaurants springing up everywhere, the birthplace of the Titanic is fast becoming one of the best places to eat out and socialise in Ireland. Belfast has great entertainment venues for mobile home visitors – the Opera House puts on excellent shows, and the new Odyssey Stadium features top bands and live Ice Hockey. Popular attractions for static caravan tourists include Queen's University, the Botanic Gardens, the Ulster Museum and the City Hall.
