Devon

Devon is an English county of outstanding natural beauty, and over 130 caravan parks take advantage of this, offering log cabin and mobile home holidaymakers access to this wonderful area. Its lovely beaches and mild climate make it the ideal destination for static caravan holidays. For a seaside holiday in your mobile home, look no further than Torbay, known as the English Riviera. Inland, narrow country lanes meander through the lush green countryside to idyllic villages of thatched cottages. More adventurous static caravan owners make for the wilds of Dartmoor, 365 square miles of the wildest country in Britain with its granite tors, Bronze Age settlements, wild ponies and sparkling rivers. On a smaller scale to the north, beautiful Exmoor - Lorna Doone country - offers similar outdoor opportunities for walkers, nature lovers, and pony trekkers. After a long day out in the fresh air, mobile home holidaymakers can enjoy the area’s famous cream tea.
Apart from the many castles and beautiful landscapes, there are other unique sites of interest for static caravan tourists. The Barbican, Plymouth’s historic old quay, with its Tudor and Jacobean buildings, has been preserved so that visitors can stand on the very spot where in 1620 the Pilgrim Fathers set out for America aboard the Mayflower. Canonteign Falls is a very beautiful site with woodlands, waterfalls and lakes. At Kent’s Cavern show caves mobile home holidaymakers can discover ancient remains and amazing formations in these 2 million year old caves, and in a similar vein, Exeter’s exciting underground passages offer a man-made underground experience.
