Channel Islands

The Channel Islands are a cluster of small islands which lie between the south coast of England and the north west coast of France, and have around ten caravan parks scattered amongst the islands, set for mobile home holidaymakers to relax in as they explore this popular destination.

Jersey
Jersey, with a land area of about 60 square miles, is the largest of the Channel Islands. The whole island is gently tilted south towards the summer sun, the land sloping gently down from high sea cliffs in the north to the sandy beaches in the south and west. Mobile home owners walking on Jersey will find sparkling brooks flowing here and there along wooded valleys. One of Jersey's most famous landmarks is beautiful Mont Orgueil Castle, England’s frontline defence.

Guernsey
Guernsey enjoys around 2,000 hours of sunshine each year. Guernsey's currency is the pound sterling but has its own bank notes and coins. Static caravan tourists will be fascinated to know Victor Hugo completed “Les Miserables” during his exile on Guernsey, though now Guernsey is seen more as a tourist retreat than as an area for exile.

Alderney
Only 8 miles from mainland France, Alderney (Aurigny in French), with its beautiful sandy beaches and abundant wildlife, is one of the most unspoilt and relaxing British Isles for mobile home owners to visit, or place a log cabin. Like Guernsey and Jersey, it enjoys a mild and sunny climate. The islanders are self-governing and cherish their independence, and the airport and harbour provide direct air and sea links to the UK.
