West Yorkshire

At the edge of the Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales, the rolling hills of West Yorkshire have around twenty caravan parks, and were once the cloth manufacturing capital of the world. From the Middle Ages, its wealth was carried around on the backs of the black faced sheep roaming its wild moorlands, a beautifully scenic area for mobile home holidaymakers to explore on foot. Leeds, “the Knightsbridge of the North” has now transformed itself from into a vibrant, trendy city with a growing reputation as a centre of culture and learning. The regeneration of Leeds is having a knock on effect on Bradford, home of the extraordinary National Museum of Photography, Film and Television. The model of a West Yorkshire mill town has been perfectly preserved for mobile home holidaymakers to see at picturesque Hebden Bridge, clinging to the valley of the River Calder in the South Pennines.
