Wrexham
Wrexham enjoys a very privileged location. Within twenty minutes travel you can lose yourself in the Welsh hills, be fascinated by the Roman remains in Chester or view the rich historical past within Wrexham County Borough. Twenty or so caravan parks in the area provide mobile home visitors with a relaxing base for exploring the wonders of Wrexham County. In the last decade Wrexham has been refurbished into a shopping haven for static caravan and log cabin tourists, but has still managed to keep the atmosphere and charisma of the traditional streets well and truly alive.The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in Wrexham was built over two hundred years ago to ferry raw materials and finished products in and out of the Cefn Mawr area, and is a wondrous example of canal making. The arches reach a height of 200ft as they span the river Dee and static caravan tourists can walk or ride in a canal boat along its entire length. Wrexham is also home to the famous Techniquest@NEWI, a science discovery centre with over 60 hands-on interactive exhibits that are designed to challenge visiting mobile home families’ understanding of science in a fun and educational way.
